I uploaded a couple of pages onto my site and linked to them from the homepage. At the time of upload, I didn't have title/meta tags on my page (long story), and I went back and added title/meta tags about 3 hrs later. Google cached the version without title/meta tags, and it's been about a week since and it still hasn't been updated in Google. Any guesses on how long it takes? It seems like Google's quick to "realize" new pages are being uploaded, but slow to "realize" changes on existing pages? Thanks, --Paul. |

Depends a little on the site; if pages are regularly / frequently updated, then you may get frequent spidering. If not, then not so likely. Google-friendly sites also tend to do well without intervention. If it matters a lot, then a Google site map may expedite matters. But ultimately, Google decides how often they visit, and while you can 'invite' an extra visit, you cannot force them to do anything! -- Andrew seo2seo.com sick-site-syndrome.com UK Residents: STOP THE "10p Tax Ripoff" Sign the petition to stop the government stealing from the very poorest tell your friends about this petition: http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/10penceband/ |

Sometimes it will display it's new findings immediately (within hours) and then sometimes not, but ultimately will process the new findings pretty darn quickly. -- Fred |

Meaning that they will probably spider more often if a page has a history of being updated often. For a newly created page, I suspect that they have some middle ground. It doesn't have any history of updates, but it isn't years-old stale, either. Personally, I wouldn't worry about it. It will come when it comes. -- Earn Money With Your Web Site http://www.WebSponsorZone.Net Web Site Advertising Directory |
