keep visiting this website, how can it provide us real-time
information about the Olympic medal count? If Googlebot keep visiting
this website constantly, is it a heavy burden on the website?

Beijing2008.cn is providing Google with a live feed from the website,
probably via RSS.

The website has a useful RSS page if you want to get your own feeds here
http://en.beijing2008.cn/rss/

Google does not constantly crawl the site !!

So.... isn't fetching an RSS feed the same as visiting (Note that the OP
didn't say crawl.) ...

RSS is just a file on your server. In order to read it, it has to be
fetched.
